Aegialis Hotel & Spa in cooperation with the Cultural Association of Tholaria Women in Aegiali – Amorgos island organizes successfully since 2003, YPERIA, an International Meeting for culture and tourism. 
The topics of the conventions are related to the Cultural Heritage , the Civilization and the environment of Amorgos, which are promoted through articles and films of Greek and International Media by the invited journalists, photographers and  film makers from different  countries around the world.

This year, it is our pleasure to announce the 11^th International Meeting, YPERIA 2013 which will place from the 8^th to the 13^nd of May. The subject of this year’s convention is: “Powerful cultural & environmental efforts in Greece & Amorgos within the European Union”.

Everyone who attends this Convention has the chance to be introduced to the island and its people, to the history and the customs and finally to experience a different way of living.

Aegialis Hotel & Spa is always sensitive to the sustainable energy issues, together with the effort to save energy, to help to save the planet, using many ecological applications to all the departments of the Hotel.
Another action is to organize for the second year a two days workshop regarding the sustainable energy, which will be a part of the “European Union Sustainable Energy week”.
The workshop will take place at the 24th & the 28th of June 2013, together with all the other workshops in whole Europe.   

The owner Mrs. Irene Giannakopoulos in person, is since 2008 part of the government program “Istos”, which tries to educate the owners and the personnel of tourist business in Cyclades area, how to save energy.
